Remote Terminal Units (RTU's)

Due to the widely differing requirements of today's users we have produced a range of RTUs with different characteristics. For example, the 932 RTU is optimised for medium to large counts of input/output (I/O) signals and has built-in automation features, while at the other end of the range, the MicroRTU is aimed at monitoring of relatively few I/O spread over a wide geograhical area. Depending on your requirements there is probably a DATAC RTU ideally suited to the task.

Main Features:

  • Soft logic to IEC 61131 standards running on a real-time multi-tasking operating system provides high performance PLC functionality with editing, debugging and documentation of measurement and control strategies.
  • Industry standard protocols allow seamless integration with existing SCADA networks for system expansion or replacement of legacy systems.
  • A range of high intuitive Microsoft Windows based tools enables on-line system configuration, testing, debugging and simulation.
  • Mixed media hierarchical communication networks using industry standard protocols accommodate dial-up, leased lines, cellular, microwave, spread spectrum, VSAT and LAN based systems.
  • Power Management achieves extremely low power consumption facilitating the option of battery or solar power.
  • Application software includes PID control, lift gas optimisation and gas flow calculations.
  • Hart instrumentation, Modular distributed I/O, Local MMI and EExd certified packaging.
